Simply stated, it is commerce done over the Internet. Commercial activities such as advertising, marketing, and sales take place on websites rather than brick-and-mortar stores.
E-mail
Abbreviation for electronic mail. E-mail is the standard method of transmitting messages over IP networks, such as the Internet or corporate LANs. E-mail can contain attachments such as graphics, sounds, or other files and can be formatted in many ways using HTML or plain text. Electronic mail is a fast, reliable system for online communication. The term can be spelled e-mail or email.

Sometimes refers to a single page with a logo and a "click here to enter” link.
EPC
Acronym for Earnings Per Click.
EPS
Standard filename extension for Encapsulated PostScript files.
EPV
Acronym for Earnings Per Visitor.
Error log file
Web servers maintain error log files that record all failed requests, such as 404 errors, CGI program errors, or access to certain files on the web server.
Ethical SEO
Ethical SEO refers to the use of so-called ethical practices for performing search engine optimization, as opposed to unethical SEO. The subject of ethical or unethical SEO practices is heavily under debate, as search engines do not publish the rules that govern their operation. There are a few accepted practices that constitute ethical SEO, and it is best to adhere to these as they avoid any negative ranking or penalties from search engines.
Everflux
Everflux refers to the constant state of change in Google's search results, which is sometimes very evident on a daily basis. One day, a website may have a high ranking, and be gone the next day.

Standard filename extension for executable files in Windows.
Excite
A web portal with an integrated search engine. It was one of the most recognized pioneering names on the Internet, along with Yahoo and Netscape in the mid-1990s. Excite was originally founded as Architext and offers services such as search, web mail, stock quotes, and a customizable user homepage.
Extranet
An extranet is a type of private network that uses standard IP protocols and the existing Internet to give access to a company's resources to a select group of affiliates or partners, such as suppliers or sister companies, or customers. In all other respects, it is similar to a normal intranet on a private LAN.
False Positive
A false positive can be anything that is thought to be something, but in reality not. For example, false positive spam email messages are messages classified as spam by a spam filter, but turn out not to be spam messages. Or, virus scanners can detect false positives when scanning for viruses, which are files that don't really have viruses but appear to have viruses.
